You have to make sure it is closed all the way for the remote to lock all the doors..funny that the inside lights on dash did not indicate that the back trunk was open ...Long story short the service department at the dealership said the problem was a circuit that needed to be replaced, basically the accessory mode would not shut off even if the car was not on. They tested the battery and checked the key fob as well.
