Many campaign as arcane warrior/battlemage (DA:O + DLC), knight enchanter (DA:I), spellsword (Skyrim, Dark Souls, SotFS), etc. have made me just love that playstyle, and I am hoping to progress to a Mystic knight build in DD:A. My question for the pros, and other veterans here, is where do you suggest starting? As a fighter, or a mage? robert43s 6 years ago #3. If you know how to play as a mystic knight, one of the most powerful builds is pure magick (mage then sorcerer til 200). I'm though, am rubbish as playing as a mystic knight (can't use the shield properly, I keep wanting to attack with the sword whilst blocking with the shield, which of course casts a spell instead).

If you want to focus solely on magick, which is MK's main form of damage, then 1-10 Mage followed by 10-200 Sorcerer will maximise magick attack. However, if you want a mixture of both strength and magick, a balanced build will be the way to go for Mystic Knight. There are two very popular balanced builds, the 550/550 build and the 605/605 build .

Magick archer if you want to wee k things from a distance. Up close and ranged you should go Mystic Knight as it's easily one of the most overpowered vocations in Dragon's Dogma 1. It feels immense damage and it can support your whole team with elemental buffs which is great against all enemies. 1. Reply. Leveling pure mystic knight leaves you with balanced stats but heavier on defence than offence. Strider would be the opposite for balance. (A bit more offensive) Unlocking the stength and magick boosting augments from sorcerer, mage, warrior, and fighter is very helpful for your damage in general.
